I turn music off as much as I can in games, unless it adds to the experience IE Halo games. I try not to add anymore sounds than needed since my hearing isn't great.

Any hard / punk metal or harder rock. I usually just have it running off the laptop kinda quite. Are you looking for specific bands?

MIDNIGHT RAHDERS FTW

When I was playing Gears religiously I listened to nothing but Dethklok and Amon Amarth. Heavy metal for a brutal game.

Other than that I pretty much listen to Arch Enemy whenever I play games. Unless I'm playing COD in which case I don't listen to music as sound is so important in that game.
